The theme for this throwdown is Ground Beef!

Your dish must include ground beef as a main component. It doesn't have to be the star of the show, but it should play a significant role. Smoking is not required—feel free to use any cooking method you'd like!

Wow, talk about a blank canvas. Cant decide if really easy or really hard … leaning to the latter.

This one should have some good ones with how open it is.....ones choices are the only limitations.....LOL

BTW simple "can" be a winner.......
This was a "ground beef" past winner, I didn't plan on this, just took a pic last minute.... I'm craving a burger for some reason now........

So bmudd14474 bmudd14474 is this throwdown only for ground beef? Or can ground venison or ground elk be used? It was commented on by a member, so just for clarification.

We haven't had ground beef in the house for over 30 years, so I won't be entering but can't wait to see what concoctions everyone comes up with!

If it were ground deer or elk I'd enter for sure, though.
I tagged Brian in my previous post... we will see what he says about other ground meats besides just beef.

This will just be ground beef. We will plan another on to include wild game

Got to looking at the rules and have a question.
Which has precedence, what you say above, or the rules?
Rule #1 says must be smoked.
Above you say does not have to be smoked.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks

Good question! I would think what was posted at beginning of this thread would take precedent, but for safety sake... bmudd14474 bmudd14474 , we'll let you answer this.

I'm not Brian but can tell you what the thinking was/is it's as Brian posted at the beginning of this thread for this one. We wanted to have it so people having the high outside temps or rains or whatever weather can still participate. It also opens it up for those wanting to use the grill or griddle or cast iron or whatever but of course you can use the smoker if you want. Thinking most people should be able to get in on this one.
