Double Beer Battered Fried Chicken

 

  • Chicken, Zatarain's (fish fry) and 12ozs. of beer.

  • Served with some Hot sauce, celery, White Cheddar, Ice Cold Killians and some of Grannies Apple Pie.
 
Looks good. What temp and how long? I have had trouble with beer batter getting too dark befor the chicken is done...JJ

Looks tasty! Fried mac n cheese is on our to do list.

We've been using an excellent batter for onion rings. I believe I posted the recipe in the discada forum.

That reminds me, I gotta make me some Blooming Onions.



Love the Onion with the following recipe.

Outback Dipping Sauce
 
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons creamed horseradish
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1 dash cayenne (its in the batter, so this can be omitted)
