Practice turkey qith Q-view

    well figured id give it a try before the family comes over and we end up eating spaghetti on thanksgiving cause i messed so i picked up a 12lb turkey brined it.
    2gal water
    1 1/2cp kosher salt
    1/2 cup lawrys season salt
    3 cp sugar
    4 tbs black pepper
    1/4cp maple syrup
    1/4 cp worshester sauce

    smoking at 275-300 with hickory cherry mix at least this will give me something to go by here is a pic right in the smoker and then one with temp gauge coming

    well here it is it was delicious and got a thumbs up from the family cant wait to thanksgiving now

    Man you did good on your first turkey. I whole famn Damily will be proud of that one for sure. You shouldn't doubt yourself but we all do it and we will be here for everyone out there that might need help on the big day.You did great and you will do it again.

    My S.O. thinks i am completely nuts for taking pictures of my food too!!! Its hard to explain to a vegetarian our love for meat....

    sorry i never time i go by my thermometers it was a busy and hectic day so i dont even have a clue
