  • I smoke Butts for 1.5 hrs per lb +- . After 4 hours wrap with foil or butchers paper . Holds all the juices and easy to shread. Just my way
    I smoke butts all the time and do them for typically an hour a lb and they taste great....however, I never get them to shred. I always end up chopping them, which is delicious, but would like to shred...any suggestions? I have the bear claws, but the meat doesn't pull apart. Do I just need to cook longer?
