I have movies I watch over and over by myself, and ones I watch with my wife.  Movies are as much an obsession with me as cooking and smoking.

Movies I watch over and over alone:

The Abyss

Aeon Flux

The Andromeda Strain

Basic

Big Fish (reminds me of the kind of man my dad is, who is in ICU as I type.  Send prayers)

Black Book (foreign movie)

Blade Runner

The Bourne Franchise, but you have to watch all four one right after the other.  It is basically one long movie and you see things when watching them back to back you miss by watching them         individually.

Bull Durham

The Core

Down Periscope

Fail Safe

Femme Fatale

The General's Daughter

Gladiator

The Godfather (first one only)

The Greatest Game Ever Played

High Plains Drifter

Hitman (Unrated)

Hunt for Red October

The Jackal

Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2

King Arthur, Director's Cut

Kingdom of Heaven, Director's Cut

Kiss the Sky

L.A. Confidential

The Last Starfighter

The Legend of Bagger Vance

The Majestic

Master and Commander

The Matrix Trilogy

Minority Report

The Natural

Paul (I've watched it a dozen times and still crack up laughing every time)

Pleasantville

The Quick and the Dead

Road House

Rollerball (the original)

Shooter

Sin City, Unrated

Sirens

Slow Burn

Spartan

Star Wars, all the movies in the franchise

Starship Troopers (my wife HATES this movie)

Wing Commander

Movies my wife and I watch over and over together:

Is that Hitman with Timothy Olyphant and Olga Kurylenko? I love that movie too if you can catch the full version.

Some of my favorites:

The Godfather

Goodfellas

Casino

Shawshank Redemption

M*A*S*H

The Green Mile

The Legend of Bagger Vance

Full metal jacket

Saving Private Ryan

bbqguy

I used to know someone at the Riviera where Casino was filmed. I used to get the Frank Sinatra Suite and the Presidential Suite comped. The room where Dick Smothers (the Senator) got his bribe of casino chips had this really nice piece of furniture that had a drawer full of chips in it. I always checked it when we stayed there just in case there were any leftovers :D. The two Suites were portrayed as where Robert De Niro lived.

Lots of Movies posted I like most of them and some we watch over and over. I'm a John Wayne Fan watch his westerns all the time.

My two all time favorite's are

Lonesome Dove

Open Range

Gary

Clint Eastwood
Tom Selleck (action/adventure.. not the baby movies..)
John Wayne
Steve McQueen
Robert Duvall
Tommy Lee Jones
Charles Bronson
James Earl Jones
Morgan Freeman
Tom Clancy's movies..
Angelina Jolie
Selma Hayek
Demi Moore

I am not much for watching movies more than once (once I have seen it I am done) but there are a  few I will watch:

  1. The Outlaw Josey Wales

  2. Jeremiah Johnson

  3. Lord of the Rings movies (all)

  4. Resident Evil Movies (all)

  5. Despicable Me

  6. Band of Brothers (not really a movie)

  7. Spartacus (The Starz Original series)

  8. Bourne movies (all)

Almost forgot about Jeremiah Johnson! Can't count how many times I have watched it. I would also have to add;

Legends of The Fall

A river Runs Through it

Snatch

True Grit (original)

The Red Violin

Hey shaggy, did you see taken 3? I went not expecting too much but have to say it was pretty good.

Me its,

All Taken movies

Clint Eastwood westerns

John Wayne westerns

The new true grit with Jeff Bridges was better than I expected too.

The Straight Story with Richard Farnsworth (a must see)

Ahhhh my list can go on and on. I don't like to watch tv." I HATE COMMERCIALS" I watch the same movies all the time, over and over. I subscribe to HBO and Cinimax so I have something to watch without commercials and still watch the same old crap over and over again on the premium channels. The wife doesn't understand how I watch the same stuff. I'll joke at the wife as rocky is fighting Ivan drago.. I'm waiting to see if Rocky's going to get his ars kicked this time......

A few of my favorites I still watch all the time

Rocky series, star wars series, Indiana Jones series, Grumpy old men, pirates of the Caribbean series, Shaw shank, Harry potter series,Jango, etc.

Hate commercials, yep, gotta agree. We have Sirius radio in the vehicles and house, have had it for well over 10 years now. A 34 minute trip to work listening to Commercial Radio 2 short songs were played, heard the same commercial 5 times...

Politics aside, I pretty much love anything that Quentin Tarantino does, but find I need to be in a particular mood to watch his movies. Most are brilliant IMO.

One movie he had a bit part in, but did not write or direct, is Desperado. That is a movie my wife and I have watched over and over. Not sure how I missed it on my list.
