Merry Christmas to all! Everything listed looks and sounds awesome. We're having Honey Baked Ham from the Honey Baked Ham Company. Plus just a few simple sides, Corn in butter sauce, Homemade Yams, mashed taters etc. But the star of the show will be the Mrs' homemade Cheesecake and homemade from a mix Cinnamon Swirl cake. We kept it simple this year, and very excited to celebrate with our new Grandson, Jaxon, born last Monday 12-19-2022.
very nice, congrats!!!

Had the butcher take the bones off a Prime Rib, younger daughter got the meat, I got the bones. She roasted the meat using the 5 minutes per pound at 500 degrees then shut the oven off and leave it in for 2 hours (no peeking) method - was a perfect medium rare. I used the bones to make a jus along the lines of the THATDUDECANCOOK's recipe with some modifications. Sides were homemade horseradish sauce, homemade potato/cheese/onion pierogi, sauteed onions, sauteed mushrooms, arugala salad, and a crusty bloomer I baked fresh. For dessert we had butter cookies, molasses cookies, and almond star cookies made by older daughter, and I made 3 kinds of no churn ice cream, mint chocolate chip, cinnamon with broken up Biscoff cookies, and vanilla with mini m&ms.

And my almost 3 year old granddaughter had Mac & cheese, LOL.

We did Christmas dinner last night, double smoked ham off the Weber, yams, scalloped taters, fresh asparagus. Eggs Benedict for brunch today, maybe a brisket burger off the flattop if I get hungry later. Maybe I'll have a drink!

Nothing actually smoked, but a couple of things from this board.

We're roasting a spiral-sliced ham, to be glazed with the brown sugar/honey glaze that came with it. Making a muffin tin potatoes gratin recipe, green beans almandine with cranberries, and homemade cranberry/orange relish.

Appetizers include baked brie with cranberries and walnuts, cocktail meatballs, and lox canapés. I posted my lox making experiment on this board a couple of days ago--I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Microbrew, wine, champagne, and an old family recipe for a cranberry juice/lemonade/bourbon holiday punch to drink.

Desserts include whatever my sister-in-law prepares, and Bearcarver Bearcarver 's peanut butter meltways. Both his recipe and my recent experience making it are on this board.

Lil smokies, beef. Wrapped in one layer thin bacon. Overlapping enough to hold with a toothpick.
Sprinkled with brown sugar and cayenne pepper. In a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Yummy!

Love me some lil smokies. Did some ABT's stuffed with one lil smokie buried in pimento cheese.

Merry Christmas to all
The food so far sounds amazing.
As appetizer I’m doing a few smoked sausage ropes and a few blocks of smoked cream cheese (trying some new to me apple pie rub) on one of them.
I’m doing chucks for shredded beef, a couple of corned beefs, honey carrots, green beans, Mac & cheese and cherry pie for dessert.

Going to a potluck at the in-laws later today. Right now I have a 4-bone, 10 lb. rib roast in the smoker to take over. Doused it last night in Worchestershire sauce and rubbed with CBP, garlic powder, and an Italian rosemary salt, and let dry in the fridge. I will wait to slice until I get there. I also removed the bones, as I have plans for those later.
Underneath, is Chef Jimmy J's famous Smokey Au Jus.
Wife also made cookies, and will be baking some rolls to take over.

The crazy thing is the weather ended up actually being kinda decent compared to the last couple of days. The wind slowed considerably late morning and its actually 24 degrees right now.

Could've done something in the MES ,some baby backs along side the turkey woulda been awesome.Plus I really want to play more with the Auber!
