If you have had meat croquettes, you know it's literally one of the best ways to prepare meat. Deep fried little balls of shredded meat! Yum..

After just completing a tasty pulled pork, I was thinking about smoking a beef roast with the intention of pulling it for croquettes.

Is this doable? Can one smoke a beef roast to pulling temperatures and it still be juicy and tender? Temps? Foil?
Thoughts?

Thanks!

As Al said a chuck roast would work. Also a 7 bone roast or a brisket point would work too.

You could take it a step further and make burnt end croquettes.

I have a chuck roast so that's perfect, thanks Al!

Dirtsailor, I have yet to do burnt ends. Time to look up a recipe!
