This Saturday my Brother-In-Law (Fife), son and I are going to compete in our first BBQ Contest!

We will be one of 45 teams competing in the 4th Annual City of Fernandina Beach Rib Cook-off.

We will be cooking on my Lang 36 Patio Smoker.

 I have been looking at doing a small comp as well. Was going to enter the Southeast GA BBQ cook off in Waycross the first weekend in May, but they just canceled it. Send me a PM if you are interested. I just live an hour down the road from you.
 
Callahan... good luck bub... My partner and I just did one a few weeks ago.. he got 2nd for his ribs and I got 2nd for my chicken....... kick ass and take names later... tell them SMF sent ya.. LOL

I might be interested in something like this too, if the timing is right. I'm still a noob but I follow directions very well. I'm not far from either of you, I'm in Richmond Hill.

We already made a Mustard based sauce to enter in the BBQ Sauce contest; We have trimmed spare ribs to a St. Louis cut then seasoned them with my blend of rib rub and wrapped them an put them on ice; Also have a batch of ketchup based BBQ Sauce simmering on the stove, both to use on the ribs and to submit in the sauce contest.

My son is loading the cargo trailer with the smokers, wood, equipment box, tables, etc.

This going to be a great weekend!
