Well mothere nature wasn't to kind to us here in the Dakotas. Blizzard conditions shut down the 2 main Interstate Highways. We got 17" dumped on us here with ferocious winds .
Took me 6.5 hrs to do the cleanup. The JD with 44" blower even struggled at times.

And to top it off, a 3' snowbank on the garage that had to come down.

I raise the white flag after this one. . .

The snow sure is pretty, but I wouldn't want to be doing what you just did. No thanks.
Otherwise, great pics.

I hate being cold and in snow. There are a lot of reasons I moved to AZ half a year back, your pictures show one of the main reasons. RAY

That's a lot of snow and wind!! We can get some like that - no fun. A snow thrower is a must-have in my book. My neighbor used to have one for his tractor - that thing could chuck pretty far! Stay warm and think warm thoughts.

Yeah, there are snowstorms, then there are snowstorms where you have to get up on your roof and shovel. Those aren't fun. Luckily we only get those every few years in my part of the state.

I feel your pain! It got down to 50 here in Arizona, brutal! Absolutely brutal!

That sucks winter! We were lucky here in nw iowa, probably had an inch to 1 1/2 inches of rain over the weekend and maybe an inch of snow Sunday night.
I'm glad my new toy got to stay warm and dry in the shop.

It was unseasonably warm yesterday at 52°F. Usually we have at least 6" on the ground the end of Dec...JJ

I've lived in snow country most of my life and love it, until I've got to shovel. Thank goodness the Big Lake tempers those storms from us a little. Can ya still get to your smoker?

Looks brutal. Hope you have IWS (ice & water shield) under your shingles to prevent ice dam damage to the interior. Pretty sure it would be required by code up there.

We haven't had a good dumping like that since the 70s. I don't mind the snow, but the wind blowing the snow back in your face when your snow-blowing or shoveling just plain sucks.

Great Pics, Rider!!!
That 31" we got from one storm 3 years ago (2016) made my Old Gravely with 48" Blower work a little bit too. Beats Hell out of Shoveling!!
I'm done doing that Crap now. Got Bear Jr, with his "Boss V-Plow". He just says, "Stay in the house---I'll get it!!". I used to say, "Nah, I can get it with my blower".
Now I say, "OK--You can get it !!" :emoji_bear:

I don't, older home. I did have a bunch of ice build up in the gutters also that I chopped out of there. Wasn't pushing under shingles yet.
