Retired in S. FL and recently purchased a Woodwind and love it. Prior to this I was a griller (mostly burner) and I am just getting into smoking (low & slow). Have done some chicken and sausages, steaks etc. will do my first rack of spare ribs either today or tomorrow. I love golf, handyman projects and spending time with family.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you're here. Lots of folks with the woodwind on here to help you with any questions. Happy smoking!

Welcome to SMF!
I never have used a brine for ribs, so I can't really help you.

Ribs aren't a giant cut of meat so if you're going to brine I would probably assume 1-2 hours at most.
