My brother and I decided to slaughter our own hogs this year. It all went down last Saturday. Built a walk-in refer at my brothers for hanging. Got some help from a friend and hunting partner. By the 4th hog, we got our time down pretty good. We skinned them rather than scrape. But the skinning was the hardest part and most time consuming. Otherwise, was pretty straight forward just like any other large game. One of the hogs is mine, but I get the honors of doing all the curing and smoking. :rolleyes:
