The garden has been churning out bush beans, zucchini, patty pans, strawberries, carrots, green onions, peppers and early tomatoes about the size of golf balls. At last, my main crop of tomatoes are starting to ripen and there are some nice pole beans coming. It is always touch and go here in the mountains re how many tomatoes I get but we should do ok over the next couple of weeks and before the frost hits later in September.

It is wonderful living in the mountains but gardening is always a crap shoot!

Looking good! I've gotten about 2 dozen cherry tomatoes and I have about a 1/2 dozen early girls ripening, but the horrific thunderstorm we had late last week included small hail and they really got beat up! Hail was deep enough to shovel in some places.
Ouch! That looks nasty! We had hail yesterday that was hard enough to chip paint from my vehicle (I said "Oh My!" or words to that effect). However, it was nothing like that.
