I figured , but wasn't sure .
Gates from Kansas city . Used to make the drive to pick it up when I was younger , then it was sold here , but haven't seen it for awhile . The original is hot . The extra hot ? My gosh .

I just bought this , but haven't opened it yet .

Start with the original . Gates was my go to for chicken parts .

When I open the salt and smoke I'll let you know if it's good or not . I'll look at the store this week and see what else is there .

thanks for the tip. Gates is on the way here. they have a free shipping deal on 2 bottles.

sauce I like with enough heat.
Might be to much sugar for you , but that Gates is pretty hot . I like the jazzing up the heat in your own too .

edit , just thinking . Hot enough , don't like the flavor probably .

I always liked the Cowtown (OkJoe's) Night of the Living Barbecue sauce. Some good smokey chipotle heat with a bit of tangy zing and hint of sweet.

I've tried this one. Not crazy spicy, but has an ok kick & pretty good overall

I have always been a Kosmos fan and recently picked up a couple of bottles at Publix with a BOGO sale.
I seem to also like more heat as my age climbs and have started to add Mike's Hot Honey or this to most sauces lately.

I use the Kosmo's jalapeño peach glaze on my comp ribs. Then I water down the Kosmo's honey jalapeño sauce, watered down with Kerr peach nectar as my finishing shellac, it's done well for me. People that have tasted my ribs are always asking what I put on them.
(Including a Chef from the legendary French Laundry, and several judges)

The Gate's sauce is good stuff, I think you'll like it.

Oh another one I tried was one of the Four Six sauces, it was the Straight Sixes had a nice kick also, think I got it at Publix

Melindas is good stuff

Local sauce, like it! do you pick this up in person or online?
There are certain stores around Colorado that carry it. I usually just find it by accident lol. But the website has a list of stores. I tried to copy a link to that page, but apparently thats not in my wheelhouse lol.
