Deerburgers, with Swiss and Shrooms (3 Ways)


Since it was so nice out, I had to take a Break from my SV testing, and throw some Deerburgers on my Grill.

These are all gonna have Swiss & Shrooms on them, but I’m going to try a few different Condiments on them.
For the first night, I’m going to have 2 with Spicey Mustard.
Then for the second night, I will have one with Ketchup, and one with Horsey Sauce.

I’ll give my ratings at the end of this Thread.

BTW: My Deerburgers are always 50% Venison, 25% Pork (Butt), and 25% Beef (80-20).

While waiting I snapped a Pic of the Landscaping in front of my Smoking & Grilling Porch:
Those 3 pots in a row are each on top of a Septic Tank Lid, so they’re easy to find every 4 years or so.
And that’s our Pet Cemetery in front of the Big tree along the woods.

So for my first night, I get 2 Deerburgers with Spicy Mustard, Swiss, and Shrooms:

These were all Great, but if I had to rate them, I’d have to say, with all of them having Swiss & Shrooms, I’d go with:
#1 Horsey Sauce
#2 Ketchup
#3 Mustard

Huh. See, I was sure you'd sous vide them - not for tenderizing but to keep from overcooking them!
45 seconds in my Nuke doesn't overcook a Burger, but it will make a Huge change in a Steak!

I agree with your picks except for the ketchup--that would be a no-starter at our place.

I agree---The only reason the Ketchup is above the Mustard is the Shrooms----Shrooms go better with Ketchup than with Mustard. (To Me)
