Choice Eye Round clarification & best smoking options

Local Meat/Fish monger has "Choice Eye Round" roast for $ 2.99 Pound

Google brings me to Eye Round from the rear quarter of the cow, they break it down to Bottom & top. I don't know where the "Choice Eye Round" plays.

If Memory serves me correct the "Choice" part is a lower quality.

Whats your take on this cut and Best way to Smoke ?
 
Choice is the grade between Select and Prime. Eye of round is very lean, best cooked medium rare or lower. I like to cook it Souv Vide at 130F, sear, and slice thin for sandwiches. You can smoke, just don't overcook it.

Eye of round also works great for jerky.

I'd simply ask if it was top or bottom. There's a pretty big difference in how useful those cuts are. Top, very useful for eating for dinner, bottom is more jerkey territory. @2.99 it could be either but I'm leaning towards it being bottom
 
Eyes come from the Side of the bottom round which comes from the whole round (rear quarter)which includes the top of the round.as mentioned choice is the grade, better than select not as good as prime.
