What are yours?

For us, it's 2 turkeys...1 16+lber brined, injected, and smoked. The other, an 18lber., injected and fried. Also a double smoked ham along with about any side dish you can imagine. My mission, should I choose to accept it, is the turkeys and the sweet potato casseroles. Most everyone is bringing something. We'll have around 35-40 people here, it'll be a great time with family and friends...

Big venture there Charles
No family or friends this year. We haven't made any plans.
Make sure the turkey you fry has a vent around the neck so the oil gets in the whole carcass and doesn't trap any air. Yeah preaching to the choir but a reminder for the others reading the posts.

Just the two of us. I'm going to smoke up the neighborhood with apple chunks.

I have a 13 pound ham sitting in brine. It's the Sweeter-than-sweet LEM kit I bought with the SMF20 discount on the LEM site a few weeks ago. I've read, after the fact, the LEM kits can be salty. We'll see how it turns out.

We always do our Thanksgiving the Saturday after and will just have a smaller group of the kids/grandkids, maybe a couple other family members. Doing the smoked turkey and a ham because my son prefers it to turkey, and most of the normal sides.

We always get a to go for Thursday actually Thanksgiving day from a local Tex-Mex place that makes a Thanksgiving burrito that's amazing, so that will likely be our Thursday dinner.

Having the family over to my new place. That includes the ex, my son, my daughter and both grandsons. Meathead son-in-law is supposed to be working that day, but I'm guessing that with free food involved, he'll find a way to attend.
Pretty traditional. So far, one 12+lb turkey breast, and one 9+lb turkey breast on the smoker ( because I love leftovers); stuffing; mashers and homemade gravy; a Costco pumpkin pie (because the ex insists on it); a Marie Callendar's Razzleberry pie (because that is the one everyone actually likes); and my son's greenbean casserole (it's his signature dish.)

17 people coming to the PA house. Have 4 feet of her0 (Grinder, Hoagie, wedge sub) starting Tomorrow. Then bought some fresh made ravioli and we are making a giant pot of sauce (OK, gravy) with meatballs and sausage. 2 Turkeys, both will be brined with some cure, one goes in the oven and the other I will spin on the kettle. bacon wrapped smokies and many other items.

Our house is ALWAYS the destination for the holidays and I think Thanksgiving is my most fave holiday just for the number of people I get to see.

This Thanksgiving will be small - only 7 of us. Back in he day, it used to be 20-25. All the nieces and nephews are now married with families of their own.

My family and I are heading to my parents house on Thanksgiving. My sister in law is bringing the turkey. My wife is bringing smashed sweet potatoes and two homemade pies. It will be a sad time I imagine. It will be almost a year to the date I lost my baby brother.

I feel for you! This will be the first one in my entire 58 years that we will be without my father.

I was going to pass this year ( first Thanksgiving since my wife passed) but the kids wanted to get together for a meal so I said why not!
This year we’re doing a whole bone in ham cut in two halves. I’ll prep them two different ways and all the kids are bringing food to make it easier for dad. Seven adults and nine grandchildren and I expect some chaos but memoirs will be made!
Wish us luck 🍀

We are going to my FIL & wife's stepmom house for T day. We just have to bring the buns, so pretty easy on our part. Friday night to her mom's... I'm getting fat and sleepy already !
My heart goes out to all that have lost loved ones and are gonna miss them... but remember the good times and be thankful for the time you had with them!
Got a text this morning from a friend, I dated her sister several years ago when I was divorced... her 24 year old son passed away Sunday. He had fought cancer, got a kidney from his mom, and lost the battle from an infection they couldn't treat. I can't imagine the feeling .
So be thankful of the loved ones you have!

We are going to the in-laws. FIL will smoke the bird, probably on his yoder. I think we'll bring up some sides and a pie or 2. But pretty easy on our end. We'll be hosting Christmas at our house this year though.

Just a few of us this year, hoping my youngest makes it home from Virginia. A 16# bird smoked and all the usual sides. Maybe a ham the day before. Pretty quiet really.

Just a simple meal at home with Mrs Civil and the kiddos…. Gonna roast up a 11 lb capon on the RT after an overnight brine……some Idaho russet mashed, focaccia fennel dressing, balsamic apple salad, and corn bread muffins…… I’m doing the bird, kids doing the sides (the boy does the home made focaccia for the dressing) and Mrs doing the muffins…

Wishing hope and thanks to all and especially for those in memory only!!!!

Just me and Ann.I'm smoking a boneless turkey breast. And having surf and turkey. Tails and beef tenderloin. And stone crab claws.

Whole immediate family headed to our house from Wednesday thru sat. Will be 16 here for dinner. 14 of us staying at the house. Always good times had. Smoking a couple of 23 lb birds on the lang since havent used it in a while and I have the time to tend it. Turkey day eve I have a brisket on the menu for people as they show up and lunches after. Friday most of the group is headed to steal your dollar city for their christmas displays. Always fun to beat the nephews at everything in the game room. Break open a good bottle of bourbon and enjoy the company while playing liars box and euchre too.
