My job requires some travel , usually within 3 hrs of home. This gives me an opportunity to hit up the grocery stores for deals. Ran across a great price on steaks this week at Kroger .
Had them soak in 1/2 worsty 1/2 low sodium soy for an hr.

I do the same, but in my neck of the woods most town have only a couple of markets. It's usually the meat section or the bakery that has the unique items, like store baked breads or rolls and in-house sausage flavors, or regional lamb and beef. There is a town to the north that has a Basque community and both markets sell their version of a sausage called Lukainka. And another town further north that has a third generation meat market famous for sausage.

Well......I got distracted talked to my son, stationed at Camp Lejeune, during the searin'.
2(mine and the wifey) were well done a 2 were perfect( BIL and daughter) .
Sad day for me. Can't seem to get a good sear on the sear grate. They were perfect last week on the smoke grate at 650*

That’s a pretty good reason to be distracted...
Yes OS he came home for a couple of days at Christmas. He had planned to stay longer but he's a Corpsman and got called back due to an outbrake of Covid in his unit. We were (and stil are) having high numbers here too. We usually text throughout thr week a have a call on Saturdays.

Thank you for having such a wonderful son to serve for us
Thanks Charlie I appreciate that. He's been in 11 yrs and I hope he stays for 20 ! But that's easy for me to say from the outside. He's a good son and I always tell him that I quit locking my doors after he went in lol.
