Well I got my smoker for Christmas.  It is a Master Forge Double Door Gas Smoker from Lowe's.  I decided to smoke some baby back ribs for our New Year's Eve Party.  I used apple wood chips and Famous Dave's Rub and they came out perfect.

Seasoning the new smoker.

Rub is on, now for the Dexter Treatment (wrap in plastic wrap) and back in the fidge for a while.

I got the smoker fired up and started the smoke.  Let the 2-2-1 process begin.

I sauced the ribs with about 20 minutes to go.

Thanks all.  It was a lot of fun and I am very pleased with how they came out.  I'm sure there will be many more smokes in the future.

Those look AWESOME!  What kind of sauce did you put on them???  Beautiful!

I used KC Masterpiece Hickory Brown Sugar sauce.  Next time I'll probably take the time to make my own rub but I'll still probably use a store bought sauce.  I spent a whole summer one year developing my rib rub.  Now if I could only remember exactly what I put in it...

looks good!  I have that same smoker and am breaking it in now with some spares (cut KC style) and chicken quarters.  I hope I come close to yours.
