a while back one of the staff members posted a cook he did for a wedding where meatloaf was involved. He, pineywoods, told me in chat that he used ac leggs mix and added a bell pepper. Maybe something else I couldn’t recall. Bmudd14474 provides a link for the mix and I got 10 packs

finally got time and made a batch. 8 pounds of burger and 2 pounds of water. Minced a green bell pepper and half a carrot. Mixed it all then started smoking in the pitboss pellet smoker. Had an issue half hour in with the smoker as it was reading 405 degrees. Pulled the loaf and in to the oven.
Wow this is the best meatloaf I ever ate. Thanks pine and mudd for sharing the love.

the flavor in this mix is AWESOME. Truly a party in the mouth

That's a lot of Meatloaf. That's good though. I'd rather eat cold meatloaf sandwiches than eat it hot. Looks good...JJ

me too JJ. I am eating meatloaf sammy for breakfast at 330. cant wait. I was gonna give my kids some but the wankers didnt want any

Heck, my kids will take what you offer and Keep the Pot or Dish! I've been looking for one of my 6 Qt Rever Pots for a year. It's just right for several recipes I make. Turns out my Oldest Daughter took leftover Soup home in it, and just added it to her collection...She kept it for the same dang Recipes I use it for!...JJ

Looks good FB, and thanks for the Leggs recommendation I'll give it a try.
Carrot huh?

I that the #113 blend, and where did ya get it....I'm hungry for some loaf now

It looks great bummer about the smoker but you have lots more seasonings for another attempt. I haven't ever added carrot could be interesting. I normally add a bell pepper and an onion. If you look in the stores often times you can find the 5lb disposable aluminum meatloaf pans and just divide the batch of meatloaf in half to fill the 2 pans, It makes dealing with the leftovers much easier and the slices are just about perfect to hang over the bread a little on the sandwiches.
Dan I usually get the seasoning from Columbia Spice but their are other places to get it

Looks good Flatbroke. Sorry to hear about your pellet pooper pooping out on you. It’s amazing the recipes that are shared in chat, good group of people hang there.

Good looking stuff, regardless of your smoker taking a dump on you. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch. We love our meatloaf around here too and I just did one a couple weeks ago.

Robert

Nice job on that meatloaf flat. I've done 3/pd'ers before, but eight holy cow.

Point for sure
Chris

Sorry about your smoker crapping out FB, on the golf course that'd be referred to as a stroke of bad luck, tho seems you bailed things out just fine. I'm making a meatloaf tomorrow for Xmas dinner, my 94 year-old FIL will be here, he's not much on chewing anymore. I might smoke it on the Weber but with rain in the forecast I'll just have to see. Like, RAY

That’s one big delicious meatloaf!! I’d love to have a few slices for sure!!

I just found the 113. Shipping cost is pretty high.
Had the same result after seeing the info awhile back . Seems it don't come from AC Leggs ?
The seasoning was $4.00 the shipping was 8 bucks . That was thru amazon prime . All the rest of the Leggs stuff was 2 day free , this was a long lead item . 10 days I think .
Would love to try it if I can find a better ship rate .

Sorry Flatbroke , Meatloaf looks outstanding ! Love some cold sammys out of that . Nice work . Raw carrot is a great add . We put it in meatballs , didn't think about meatloaf . Nice work bud .
