Chicken scratch

YUP

Good for their health and eggs.
I feed our hens 2x a day. This will help them. At night I give them just scratch grain because it keeps them warm at night while roosting.

This will be ready in 2-3 days.
Going with 10 scoops of scratch grain from the tub.

10 scoops in the bucket.

Cover with unchlorinated water about 6" above the feed because it will swell.
Cover loosely.

I used to do this. It really is great, we just have too many things going, and it fell off my to do list.
When I did it, I'd throw some alfalfa cubes in there. If you put too much that will leave it all behind, but if you put just enough to coat the grains, they will eat it up.
I felt like it was a good replacement for the leafy greens they don't get in the winter.
