Gas Prices???

I needed gas and drove by Costco but the lines were 10 deep even at 10:15am. Went to ARCO and it was $5.99. $0.20 cheaper then by my house.

Love the prices for gas .... NOT.

Can. Gov dropped part of the Tax on the gas last week or so to help us out until Labour day by approx 10.6 +/- cents per litre, that was a little help
Then a couple days later the Fuel board did their intrerupter clause and raised it 17.1 +/- cents per litre .
WE JUST CAN'T WIN.

Trying to get the Province to drop some oif their tax off of the gas now. If they do the Gas Board will probably just raise it again..

Time to go and buy a bicycle with a big basket on the front to carry my tools for work, and yes a little bell on the handle so I can tell people to get out of the way, I'm in a hurry.

Sorry Chris I missed the decimal point it is

1.91.7 cents per litre. not one hundred and 91 dollers per litre

But it is still bad

yes we round up by almast times 5 to make our gallon, so that would be $9.585 per imperial gallon

If I lived in town, think I would have and E-Bike with removable basket.

Funny but not really. They say wait till next week its going to get a lot worse.
Were I live its a country setting with no bus service so I have no choice but to drive my gas eating truck. Summer camping is starting to look like a no go. I have cut back on a lot of things already but at the end of the month there is not much left to save for anything else.

Just spiked at our local Kroger gas station $4.60. Which is odd because about 20 minutes away where gas is usually more expensive everyday it still/or was posted at $4.20. Not for long Im sure.

My son got off work, he works for CP rail. Headed to town to go to the reserve to get diesel for his truck. ( Much cheaper there) Guess everyone getting off work headed there to. He sent me this text a few minutes ago. "Line at the reserve is absolutely f**ked" You can fill in the missing letters.

Never appreciated my 07 Camry so much when fuel gets like this. 30 mpg.
Can get all my fishing gear in there and go do my shore fishing or wader fishing without having to stop and talk with a loan officer every couple weeks.

Guess I shouldn't complain but ave around 1000 miles a week.
Paid 3.49 at Kroger today with my .20 savings.
Am a member of ALL of the stores around have .40 off per gallon(up to 25 gallons) saved a one regional chain.
Only 1 station around, 30 minutes from home, that sells E85 @ 3.20 or so.
I try to plan my week to go by the area at least once a week.

Thunder Bay Gas Prices Show Wide Gap Between City Pumps and Fort William First Nation

THUNDER BAY — Gasoline prices in Thunder Bay are showing a sharp spread, with prices listed as high as 203.9 cents per litre at some city stations and as low as 160.0 cents per litre on Fort William First Nation, according to local GasBuddy listings reviewed Friday.

For drivers already dealing with higher food costs, rent, mortgage payments, vehicle repairs and insurance, that 43.9-cent-per-litre gap is more than a number on a sign. On a 50-litre fill, the difference is about $21.95. On a 60-litre fill, it is about $26.34.
The price hike in the City of Thunder Bay has led to massive line-ups of ten plus vehicles at gas stations on Fort William First Nation.

Fuel Prices Add to Cost-of-Living Pressure

The price spread comes as Thunder Bay residents continue to watch household costs closely. In a city where many people rely on vehicles to get to work, school, medical appointments, shopping and family commitments, fuel prices have a direct impact on weekly budgets.

Unlike larger urban centres with broader transit coverage and shorter travel distances, many households in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario have limited alternatives to driving. For rural residents, shift workers, tradespeople, delivery drivers and those travelling between communities, gasoline is not a discretionary expense.

GasBuddy’s Thunder Bay page tracks local prices reported by users and lists the lowest-priced stations near the city. Prices can change quickly and may vary by grade, payment method and reporting time.

The Savings Can Be Significant

At 203.9 cents per litre, filling a 50-litre tank costs about $101.95.
At 160.0 cents per litre, the same 50-litre fill costs about $80.00.
That difference of $21.95 is enough to matter for families already stretching paycheques. For commuters filling up once a week, the gap could add up to more than $80 a month, depending on vehicle size and driving habits.

For small businesses, contractors, couriers and people who drive larger vehicles, the impact can be even greater.

I live 31 Km away from cheaper gas. I pays for me to drive that to get the cheaper gas. I fill up my truck and every jerry can I have to make it worth while. Only bad thing is I now need to get there early enough so I don't sit there for hours waiting in line.

I rented a Jeep Wagoneer in Kentucky last week. The Avis guy warned me that gas prices had shot up to $3.79 a gallon. :emoji_laughing: $5.35 in my neighborhood. Wish I could have brought some home.

PITA though having to transfer to the car. I have 20L gas can, a 25L outboard motor can, a 10L plastic and 5L plastic and used to fill them at the same time I filled the car.

New cars use "capless" fuel fillers now so you HAVE to use the supplied mini-funnel. Not the easiest way to get gas in your ride.

Slow plus (possibly) messy not to say inconvenient as well.

Now, I just drive less and fuel up less often.

Filled up in central FL this morning at $4.499 per gallon
North Fl was $4.299 to $4.499
Crossed in to AL and $4.099

3.89-3.99 Ave around here.
Filled up on E85 yesterday for 3.49.
Circle K has .40 off per gallon today for members.
