Iam in the process of finishing my 55 gallon drum horizontal smoker. I lined the bottom with one layer of fire brick and one course on the side to hold the fire grate. How big should my intake and exhaust be. thanks for any help

Use a calculator. My son used Feldon’s when he built mine - great draw, easy to light and keep going.

You could buy a kit from Big Pappa Smokers or several DIY vids on YT

Isn't there a calculator on-site for that stuff? @seenred

I’ve only ever used a version of the Feldon calculator, although I have no idea if it works for drum builds.

The only on-site pit calculator I’m familiar with is the one our late friend Daveomak put together. But again, no idea if it works for drums.
