Out of curiosity how much did it add to your power bill?
My wife is trying to talk me into buying her a Plaid...I've driven them, they are fun, but I'm not ready to give up on gas yet.

We had a mini full electric that was super fun but short range 112 miles. We bought it when we lived in the city and most errands were within a few mile. Perfect for that.

Fast forward to moving back to CO mountains, didnt work. Got a RAV4 Prime plug in hybrid. No BS, it gets 100 mpg on average. We didnt fill it up for 3 months after we got it and drive it everywhere.

Due to recent family things, we were driving much more than normal for several months and our electric bill definitely went up. With both cars, its hard to gauge how much it went up exactly because so many other factors play in. But 100 mpg is dreamy. Plug in hybrids are awesome and you never worry about running out of battery.

GA state sales tax relief of .33 per gallon is set to end on May 19 with the state average price of 4.09 now. Hopefully Gov Kemp will extend again but who knows where we'll wind up

That is exactly what I am trying to talk my wife into, a hybrid.
Although she really doesn't need it, she doesn't drive much, example, she's been driving a 2007 Saturn Vue Redline all wheel drive, that yr they had Honda V6 in them, which is the only reason we bought it, Honda's run forEVER!!! And it has less than 80 grand on it, it gets 26 mpg highway 19 to 22 around town depending on if she or I is driving, I have a leadfoot.
I'm trying to talk her into a BMW X5 xDrive50e, mainly because I wouldn't mind driving it when we go places, and they get 58-60 mpg which is totally doable for us here in CA as we really don't drive that much, my 2006 2500hd gas 6.0 engine that I just sold only had 160 grand on it.


The Tesla self driving is pretty cool for driving us home on weekend nights though.
I drove my nephews Y series a few months ago, and he told it to go home on his phone and the F'in thing drove us home and parked its self, it was a complete trip!!! It would take a while to get used to it.

I'm all for supporting Elon, I think the man is an alien from another world...LOL, but he has definitely changed the world more than anyone in my lifetime, and I think that is frick'in cool!!! But, I just don't want an all electric yet, as our power grid sucks in the summer months.

I just spent $220 to fill up my 2026 diesel 2500 HD Denali which has the 6.6. turbo diesel in it. Thank God I only have to fill it up once a month, as I frick'in love driving this truck.
I don't like parking lots with straight parking, it's easier for me to back into the straight parking spots using all the camera views it's easy. It's still so new that I worry about door dings, so I park as far away from other cars as I can, that will fade away with time.

After having an all electric and a plug in hybrid. the plug in hybrid is by far superior. We tried a few public charging stations with the all electric and they are still a joke. Broken, dont work, all being used, they charge (like you have to pay) on a bunch of them and need to use their app to pay etc etc. If my ride home depended on these I would have been f'ed.

I currently drive a 21 CX-9 Mazda. Love it. Turbo 4 with AWD. On the highway i can get over 30mpg worst tank I've had was 19 through nasty week of snow. That said they have a newer CX-90 PHEV. I had one for a loaner once. Drove it from Thursday to Monday. Plug into 110 at home and work. I had to fill out up before I returned it. Put on about 300 miles, put in 2.5 gallons of gas.

We bought the wife a 22 Chevy 4x4 High Country with the 3.0 Duramax the last 7600 something miles both highway and city it has averaged 27 mpg.
We bought a 24 Chevy Suburban High Country 2 wheel drive with the 6.2 and it is a gas hog I would never buy another 6.2 and won't recommend it to anybody. Wish I had waited for the 3.0 Duramax in a Suburban or Yukon. I had a Yukon XL with the 5.3 and it great mileage.

I am in suburban Chicago. Please tell me that was for 93 octane gas! Wow. Even the 3 Costcos I can go to here are managing to be just under $6 for 93.

If I could find a decent deal on a 3.0 Duramax I would get one but momma has gotten used to the amenities in the mazda. Cooled seats and the such. I'll have to reset my trip B to see the mileage to Missouri and back.

Same. Picked up my model Y on Feb 14. It has ruined other cars for me. The single pedal driving, FSD, and charge at home is really irreplaceable to me.

I feel like 0.24 cents a KWH is a rip off sometimes, but significantly cheaper than gas.

I looked today in the last 9500 miles with the 6.2 Suburban it's averaged 19 mpg.
Many of the GMC and Chevy trucks have lots of amenities. Ours both have heated and cooled seats, Bose sound systems, 10 way power seats with auto memory for 2 drivers, power tilt and telescopic steering columns that have the memory to go with the 2 driver presets. Both have power sunroofs and heated rear outboard seats. The Suburban has super cruise, adaptative cruise, heads up display, rear camera mirror, dual rear video players for the rear passengers, and other things I'm sure I've forgotten about
