Gas Prices???

$2.09/L here ($9/Gal CDN) which equates to $5US/USgal.

I do not comment as to WHY :emoji_angry::emoji_angry::emoji_angry::emoji_angry::emoji_angry:
Why not comment? Your country is not at war and you produce more oil than your country could ever use. Corrupt government policies and taxes are the reason we pay so much for fuel and it is constantly manipulated to the point it should be illegal. The whole world is in on the fix.

Paid $4.599 in Illinois today for unleaded. That was freeway gouging, but saw it as low as $4.588

For those that haven't traveled Illinois, there is a significant amount of producing oil wells.
$4.17 at the pump today

Saw diesel as high as $5.75 in a couple places traveling the state of ND this week for work. Unleaded 89 $4.30-4.50
With 5 refineries between North Dakota and Montana processing domestic & Canadian crude, something doen't add up

My wife, daughter, and I all have cars that call for 93 octane. I just filled up my car at a local Shell station in suburban Chicago for $6.79/gal. I can't wait to see their reaction.

Been there done that, sold it. My wife had a BMW, everything was insanely expensive, gas included. No more of that here.

$4.60 for regular here now. That means $100 for a full tank.

Two months into my new Tesla. Its funny, I haven't even looked at gas prices. Gas over $4 a bummer!!

You pay in other ways with the EVs but at least it drives itself!

$4.24 to $4.29 mainly around the MSP area. Traveling on Thursday down towards Poplar Bluff MO. I'm "really" excited for that one....

Opening weekend for Walleye here in Ontario is the 3rd Saturday in May. With that we allways get a tone of Americans coming to Canada for opening weekend. A steady stream of people from south of the border. I wonder how the gas prices will effect the turn out this year. I know I'm not going to far from home to catch fish. Localbutcher shop has walleye filets for 16 bucks a pound. Way cheaper then a tank of gas for the truck and boat. Minnows, food, beer and what ever else that goes for a weekend camping. Might just stay home for the opener. On top of that its fricken cold here LOL Trying to snow today

Out of curiosity how much did it add to your power bill?
My wife is trying to talk me into buying her a Plaid...I've driven them, they are fun, but I'm not ready to give up on gas yet.

I had a model x plaid for a month, and traded it in for a model Y. Fun?...very! oh, man!! Getting on the freeway was the best part of my day!!! But the insurance on it is expensive! Kills all the savings.

I charge at home and at work. I did the math and can charge about 80% of the battery (because I keep it under 80% charge for battery health unless its a long trip) for about $4-5ish dollars. Thats about 250 miles of travel.

My home was built in the 80s and in the dead of the summer we spend a lot to cool the house cause its not super efficient so we added solar and yes the bill is a little higher but hardly noticeable.

If you're thinking about getting one, look at how much it will cost to insure it first. Repairing a Tesla is super expensive, and that's why insurance sucks. You can go through private insurance (which will be the most expensive) or through Tesla itself.

If you go through Tesla, the car gives feedback on how you drive and your insurance will adjust based on that. So they monitor you....which I hate...but it cuts the price of insurance in half.

Also its essentially zero maintenance. No oil. You only have to change break pads on average every 100,000 miles due to regenerative braking. Just tires when you need them.

Won't lie, after I tried out the full self driving I was sold. If you're interested in that, you're going to want a model that has the most up-to-date computer which is "computer 4". I've hardly driven the last couple of months!
