Daughter's Making Scratch Brownies

[Quiganomics]

She wanted to make cookies, but I used the last stick of butter (to my defense I thought we still had a few pounds in the freezer) on some garlic butter steak bites for dinner. She hopped online, found something she could make without butter, and here we are.

She accidentally tripled the salt (called for 1/3 tablespoon, she used a whole tablespoon outta habit) so we'll see how this turns out. Should know in about 30 minutes.

Ice cream and brownies are great together... might help hide some of the salt.

If it ends up being to salty, go buy her some butter so she give it another go. Just pass the too salty brownies on to the closest neighbor you don't like.

Followed a few of your daughter’s threads you posted… you should be proud… she’s an amazing talent at her age… MY point is her age! And I am sure you’ve been a great mentor!

She should be enjoying cooking/smoking at her age!!

Her facial expressions from your first post of her… till now have slowly changed!

To an outsider… and I maybe wrong… she does not have that same “Sparkle” in her smile!

She doesn’t smile here… she looks under pressure… Maybe it was just the moment?!

Just an outside observation… and you can tell me to pack sand and F.. to the O.

Just want young talented cooks to be encouraged… we all make mistakes… Lord knows I have made a lot! And I am way older than you!

Be proud of her.. she found a sub for butter!!
