I have an LG range with all electronic controls (no knobs) that has been a PITA for the 8 years that I've owned it. Bought it from Home Despot originally, with an extra 3 year warranty. The electronics in the panel fried 3 years and 1 month later. Had to search the internet for parts, and as it was now obsolete, trying to get any repair/replacement info from LG was an exercise in futility.  It had intermittent problems after that, which required flipping the breaker to reset, but Friday it bit the dust for good.

Soooo, good thing I've learned a thing or two from the folks here. Back to old-school meal planning on the Weber, until the replacement range arrives on Thursday.

Saturday night: Bone-in NY's, par-baked bread, and corn on the cob. Bread came out great. I might try more baking on the Weber.

Sunday night: Surf & Turf. Kalbi-marinated petite sirloin with 16/20 e-z peel shrimp. Shrimp was brined for 20 minutes, grilled shell-on, then finished with a sauce of mango pulp vinegar and lime & riesling-infused olive oil.

Paired with a nice, off-dry riesling & grilled baby bok choy.

Man that food looks great! Pretty good improvising! Nicely done... Thumbs Up

Sorry to hear your stove is on the fritz...modern electronic conveniences aren't convenient at all when they stop working.

Yeah, my son, who lives on frozen pizza and grilled cheese sandwiches, has been beside himself without an oven.

Back when we were working I offered to buy the Boss one of those fancy new fangled ranges. She found a lady that restored O'Keefe and Merritt stoves....one of the best decisions I have ever made. Thing is just like a rock. Dread when we build our little cabin...thing ain't exactly light lol. Your food looks incredible.

With food that great your wife may pay the company to never deliver that new range

I wouldn't worry. She never uses it anyway.

Mine uses ours sometimes but if I started cooking that good on the grill she'd prolly break the stove to keep me grilling like that

I just love action plans that come together.
