Commercial Links please read

One of the rules at SMF is no commercial links are allowed in your signature line or avatar. Seems lately I've noticed a few and would ask that anybody that has them please remove them before the moderators are forced to. I'm sure with lots of new members this was just something ya'll didn't know. Jeff doesn't bog us down with lots of rules but this is one he does have and therefore it will be enforced. Thanks

Yes sir Mr. Jerry. It is very true that there are very few rules here and it's thanks to you and brian and dutch and the others maderators that keep thing running so smooth here. thanks and great job guys and girls

Seems there are still some showing up this rule is not up for debate it is Jeff's rule so either take them out or the staff will have to do it for you. We usually send a PM first requesting you to do it and if you don't take it out we will.

The rules are being reworded and when done it will be posted. Please help us out and remove your commercial links. We will pm you to ask you to take them down but if you don't we will. If you continue to violate this rule it could end in a ban of some kind. This isn't what we want to do but we will if folks will not follow these rules

Is this just for signatures or are we not suposed to provide links to sites where members can find items they are looking for.
Example: Question: where can i find a replacement thermometer?
Answer: site www-xyz-com.

Yes you can post link to other sites if they relate to the post. We are talking about in your signature and avatar. There is a spot in your profiles for a home page.

I just want to let you guys know that the reason this thread has come about is because we have asked people to take them down and when they didnt the mods did it for them. Well some of them put them back up even thou they were told they cant have them and were already removed once.
