Nice handle. Why was it in the scrap bucket?

It was actually an old fence spindle that I never got around to throwing away. Maybe that's why my garage is always a mess. Lol
I knew I would have a use for it someday....

in the future you may have to add a couple more of those latches (top and bottom) as there is always the possibility of the door warping from the heat...

I'm the same way in the garage.. the wife always tells me to throw stuff out.. I say "NO WAY.. I might need it some day...
 
The soffit has been started and the cedar planks have been attached to the sides.

I have started to gather all of my rough sawn lumber. Really want an old school look so the exterior floor planking and side wall countertop will be framed with this.
 
It has been a fun project Al.

My self imposed deadline is to have it finished in time for the Super Bowl.
Free pulled pork sandwiches for everybody!!
 
The gasket material was delivered yesterday.
I purchased a 25' roll and had about 6' left over.

Getting ready to drill and install the full size sheet pans, they will be used as an interior heat shield.
