That is perfect, exactly what I was looking for! Thumbs Up
Now that is looking great!
I'm in until the finish on this build!
I found a super fancy door handle from the scrap bin in the garage!
The latch clamp installation was pretty easy and hopefully the gasket material will be delivered tomorrow.
Nice handle. Why was it in the scrap bucket?
It was actually an old fence spindle that I never got around to throwing away. Maybe that's why my garage is always a mess. Lol
I knew I would have a use for it someday....
I'm the same way. I find stuff from 20 years ago to use sometimes.
looking good so far... Thumbs Up
in the future you may have to add a couple more of those latches (top and bottom) as there is always the possibility of the door warping from the heat...
I'm the same way in the garage.. the wife always tells me to throw stuff out.. I say "NO WAY.. I might need it some day...
Here are a couple pictures of the rear vent after installation, I still have to line the inside with wire screen to help keep the bugs out.
The soffit has been started and the cedar planks have been attached to the sides.
I have started to gather all of my rough sawn lumber. Really want an old school look so the exterior floor planking and side wall countertop will be framed with this.
It's really coming along nicely.
It has been a fun project Al.
My self imposed deadline is to have it finished in time for the Super Bowl.
Free pulled pork sandwiches for everybody!!
The gasket material was delivered yesterday.
I purchased a 25' roll and had about 6' left over.
Thanks again for the link Dave.
You are welcome... I try and keep notes on other members great finds... That is a great find...
The exterior floor, prep table and overhead shelf have been built
Finished the day with doing small jobs such as screening in the rear vent and also insulated & enclosed the soffit.
Very nice looking smoke shack!
Thank you, it finally got above freezing today and I was able to get much of the interior done. Uploading the pictures soon.
Getting ready to drill and install the full size sheet pans, they will be used as an interior heat shield.
Mocking up the floor plates for the propane burner
Finished the day by installing the shelving brackets and the rest of the heat shields.
