    Deceptive Labeling on smoker pellets

If you're a newbie, beware of the deceptive labeling on smoking pellets. Old timers know that the pellet companies will often label pellets as a flavor wood in large type "Apple" followed by 100% Hardwood. Right there you know you're getting a blend. They will try to persuade you that it's...

    Some questions on my build..

Howdy fellow smokers. I just became a member here, and I'm also new to the smoking world. I've been wanting to get into it for a while now, as I'm a big fan of cooking on the grill. So I bought some supplies to start a basic 55 gal drum smoker, then decided I want to make a separate wood...

Hi, I am very new to smoking. In fact, I haven’t even smoked my first cut of meat yet. I was given an Oklahoma Joe Highland as an early Father’s Day gift. Danger Zone Brisket

Good morning. While smoking a brisket, I checked it at 730 and the temperature was >145, I set my alarm for another hour and a half. I check it and the pellets quit feeding. The meat temp was 133. I quickly restarted the smoker and brought the temp above 140. Is it still safe to eat?
