Well, we're having a bunch of folks over for a food fest and then some.

I'll be smoking some chicken legs and thighs that will be marinated in buttermilk, some of my Cali Cornbread, and Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans.

Gloria will be doing BB's, potato salad, and a trifle. My buds will be taking care of the brewskies. What's on your mind/menu?

Like the man says..."Git'r Done".

My brother wl_kb3 will be coming to my house and we are going to have a big day of smoking (chuckies, pork butts, ABT't, Moinks, stuffed burgers (juicy lucy) and who knows what else) and then we are going fishing one day as well. Should be a great weekend.

Milk Days competition on Saturday(ribs, chicken, pork, burgers),  probably will also do some brats, and ABT's for snacking.

Crawfish boil in Chicago on Sunday

Recover on Monday.

SIL and boyfriend coming by on Saturday, he's bringing a chainsaw to cut up the freebie oak and maple logs on the side of my garage. I am cooking BB ribs, a turkey breast and some brats for my son's Birthday.

Brother in law is going to be in town.  We usually have a few friends over for back yard BBQ.  I hope to fire up the new build.  Y'all have fun!

Going to the Sasquatch Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater in WA. Camping there for 4 nights, I only have room for the Smokey Joe so it will be burgers, dogs, and some skillet cooking...oh and I am bringing lots of beer!

I'm gonna be smokin' some babybacks - about a dozen racks. This is going to take a while with my little chargriller, but since making a few modifications, I think I can get more racks on at once. There will be about 19 folks coming over on Monday.

I was only able to smoke about three racks at a time, but now my temps are more even, so I'm going for the gusto!

My wife is making her famous macaroni salad and a fresh strawberry cake! The in-laws are providing the baked beans & rolls, maybe even some homemade mac-n-cheese.

If I start at about 10:00 a.m. all the ribs should be ready by about 4 or 5 p.m.

Later in the week....Brisket!

No smoking for me... I am however, gonna be doing a pork loin on the rotisserie... I haven't used it in ages, so i am looking forward to it... Will be sure to still QView it... been crazy with work so it will be my first QView on the new forum set up

No smoking or cooking of any sort for me. My youngest son, 10, and I will be heading to the White Mountains for a bit of hiking and memory making. Food, except for lunches, is provided by the Lodge. Also will be stopping at a mineral mine to do some rock hunting. The boy loves his rocks.

Smok'n on Monday:

First attempt at butchering pork spareribs to St. Louis Ribs.

3 dozen ABTs

Italian Sausages for lunch the following week

Brewing on Sunday.

Fishing on Saturday.

Honey do's tomorrow.

Hopefully will get to go catch some trout under the lights either sat or sun  night.

no smoke but may cook some shrimp.

Hanging with the neighbors...Smoking a brisket and 3 racks of baby backs...bottle of Jack, case of Yuengling....

gonna drink some jack and coke, then have a little jack and coke and maybe some more jack and coke then maybe follow it up with some jack and coke!!!!!!

and while im doing that i guess ill fire the smoker up and cook way too much meat and eat much more than i should

Sunday we're doing another 25gal batch of burgoo, 4 pork butts, a whole (18lb!) bone in pork loin, 6 racks of spares, 6 or 8 chickens and who knows what else... haha. Plus all the trimmings including about a 6x batch of my modified dutch's beans.

Found a somewhat local source for fresh, local beef and pork and decided to check it out the other day.  Spent $250 before we got out the door, and would've bought more but that was about all we could fit in the smoker haha..  Fair prices too, $2.09 for spares, $1.79 for butts, $2.39 for the whole loin.  Not super cheap, but cheap enough it was worth a shot to try them out.  Bought a bunch of their in house sausages and spices as well.  I have a feeling i will be back for more for sure.

I think for me it's going to be St. Louis Ribs, Tri Tip and some Buffalo style bacon wrapped shrimp with blue cheese and celery (this is a recipe that I saw on here from Darrin that I have wanted to try for a while).  Going with a Jack Daniels Grille Glaze for a sauce (this is a homemade version of the TGI Fridays Sauce).  I usually use Jeff's Sauce but I thought I would try this for something new.  I am going to the store tomorrow and probably will smoke on Sunday while watching some of the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600 in the evening.  Plus there should be plenty of Makers Mark & Cokes and some cold beer!!  Plus let's not forget the reason for the 3 day weekend in the first place!  Thanks to all who have given their lives and served this great country of ours!  Thank you!
