Had some try-tip in the freezer that had been on the new griddle with bbq sauce earlier in the week. Alfredo sauce instead of tomato base. Had the pizza ready before the Akorn was quite up to temp but it was very good.
There are a couple of pretty good independent Pizza joints just a few miles in either direction, they both sell me dough balls for $1, 2 or 3 depending on who is working or mood, not sure. I've thought about making dough but as long as I can get really good ready made fresh for average $2 I'm not sure it is worth the bother, mess and planning and I don't already own a stand mixer. Do you think homemade would be enough better to justify buying a mixer and going down that road?
Thanks all, I'm still learning but getting closer to where I want to be as a pizza maker. Most I've done here with smoke are way above anything I can buy in East TN and I don't like to travel so little chance of getting one somewhere else.
