Hey everybody! I just became a member of this forum. I am in Lexington, KY and started smoking meats last Memorial Day weekend. I have been reading through this site for the past few months & have used the tips & tricks to help me do my 1st smoked butt, chicken, turkey breast & wings. The amount of info and help available is fantastic! I credit the wisdom I found within to help make my very 1st pulled pork project a smashing success! I love how freely all the members offer tips, tricks, recipes, etc. I can't wait to learn & grow & contribute!
 
Thanks you all! I forgot to say in my post that I use a CharBroil barrel w/ an offset smoke box. My favorite wood to use is mesquite, it adds such an incredible flavor to the meats. I will experiment with other woods sometime soon. My goal for this year is to make a kick ass brisket so I will be needing some tips & pointers when the time comes.
