When alarm sounds.... pour off hot water, run cold water over

eggs, whack 'em around a bit to crack and if you really want to

show off, add ice cubes. After they're cooled off, under running cold water,

start peeling from wider end (air pocket)

Beautifully Succulent Hard Boiled Eggs

Possibly The Best I Ever Made!

Picture Perfect

Lol I didn't pick out the salt & was gonna go with paprika but went with chili powder instead. Now that I blew up the pic I can see it all though... Nice snack

I thought Spanish paprika was most famous.

Kidding...just poking your ethnic pride.

Szeged rules.
Well yes, it is a close call, but the can I have in my cupboard, that is the best!

It's delicious!!

Disclaimer- Do Not Attempt This At Home

Decided to cold smoke one of my awesome hard boiled eggs...

Dind't want clashing profiles, so I decided to use my home-made Egyptian Rub

Gently applied a light dusting until it was perfect

Sorry..... no post-smoke pics. My battery died right after this amazing shot.

 No worries, I am fine.

The end!

This approach to making hard boiled eggs, does really work (for me).

However, I have zero input in the development of this procedure.

See ya!

Some nice looking eggs there. I've always done mine exactly the same way with one exception. It appears that once you remove the pan from the heat and cover it you set the timer for 20 minutes. I've always done it for 10 minutes before the ice water and they come out perfect for me. Next time I do some I'll leave some in for an additional 10 minutes and compare.

Also, what does your homemade Egyptian rub consist of, if you don't mind sharing.

 Thanks dls1!

I would stick with what works for you, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Well, I'd rather not disclose my "secret ingredients" at the moment, as it stands, we're about to hit the market this weekend.

Sorry, I thought that part was obvious.
