anybody in here tired of having savings accounts that draw less that half a percent interst? i got me an ING Direct savings account a while back. currently 3% interst, down from 4.1% when i joined 6 months ago (down because of the economy). PM me if u are interested. i can send a link your way and new members get a $25 sign on bonus, and i recieve $10 for attracting new members. all that is required is an initial deposit of $250. yall look into it. it is worth it and very easy.

I have a few different ones like this from other World banks, as well as ING.

Emigrant Direct is at 2.75% and HSBC Direct is now 3.05%

Thanks for the reminder, I need to move my property taxes out of HSBC and make the payment! (seperate your property taxes from your mortgage payments if you can, and save the funds yourself. Pay yourself interest, versus giving it to a escrow agent)

Agree whole heartedly...we had a woman here in the office, that had an impound account for her property taxes and 3 days before they were due, her mortgage company went bankrupt, along with all the sub prime lenders out here in CA and she had to come up with the money herself! It was crazy and it says specifically on the paperwork that if for any reason the mortgage company doesn't pay it, you're still responsible. She had like 3 days to come up with 5 grand.
