Hey Everyone!
We've decided to host the 11th annual gathering the weekend of December 2-4, 2022 this year! The normal weekend in November that we usually booked has filled up.

The gathering will be at Highland Hammock State Park in Sebring, FL. Feel free to come, go and camp as much as you want. Our main day is Saturday the 3rd where we generally cook, eat, drink and play games all day! No planned meals on this day as we normally just cook and eat all day. Some people come the entire weekend and some just come for saturday. There are hotels that can be booked nearby as well.

We'll discuss having a friendly rib competition and other competitions that we've done in the past shortly. As always, check back to this post on Page 1 for updates, i'll be updating this post as details and campsites are booked.

If you book a site, please let us know where and i'll add that to here. If you look at the map on the booking site we generally around Site 80-83 and we'll have a gathering site where we set up tents for meals, games and much more

Almost have my wife convinced to rent a trailer from the site Mark recommended.
I found a little popup in Orlando that our Buick can handle.
Can I reserve a site and cancel without a fee if she wants to camp at a hotel in town?

I believe so if its far enough in advance... But don't take my word... Check the cancelation policy on the website

I think there is a cancellation fee, but it's not much. Maybe $10???

Didn't even look at cancelation fee. Only $48 for two nights (Friday & Saturday) in forgot the number but I think it was where the asshole parked. Gives everyone more pass through to the biffy.

Okay I'm thinking I need to reserve a site that will fit a 33' motorhome and if I don't have it running by then the group can use the site/sites and I'll stay in a hotel (old man don't do tents anymore) so somebody tell me what site/sites I should reserve JckDanls 07 JckDanls 07 dougmays dougmays . Even if the site isn't used maybe it will allow more space between the Gathering people and the other people in case they aren't real nice

88 for the gathering site (Dec. 1st-3rd)... 89 for my site (Nov. 30th-3rd)... Will be there Thur. as usual... Doug will be along shortly and start a new thread for this years event....

pineywoods pineywoods ... Any of the sites around 88 will be good... Seniors get 50% discount (check the seniors box)... Dec. 1st-3rd

Thanks Steve
I looked and just under $18 cancelation fee.
Checked my confirmation and it is #129 which is a handicap preferred spot so need to move. That will be a $10 revision fee.
I have to say that reservation system is not a user friendly.

No it isn't... and I think they changed it again this year... seems different than last year... It
was nice when it was Reserve America

Time to start booking camp sites for next year.
Dang, I gotta love the excitement haha.

pineywoods pineywoods - Keith would be the right person to ask about the RV sites.

I've had a busy week but i'll go ahead and create a new thread for the next gathering and book my site. I'm debating the RV rental as well

I was about to book but looks like the site is having issues with the search right now, will try again this afternoon
