Glad to meet you, from the other side of the Metroplex - Fort Worth.  Not quite retired yet, 5 more years to go until 65... but got half of it... just tired, lol...!  Sounds like a great smoker, got any Qview (pics) of it in action?

Texas Trails, glad to have you here at SMF!  I too would like to see some pics of that smoker, that not one I am familiar with.  May I offer some advise, sign up for the FREE E-Course, I had been smoking for about 6 years when I got it and I learned a lot from it, things I had not ever though about before.  Use the WIKI section and the Search Bar at the top of the page to find information on about anything you can think of, these to things will keep you from hunting through tons of stuff that may or may not deal with what your looking for. Trails, remember this, the only dumb question that you can ask here is the one that you do not ask!  Again Welcome and Happy Smoking!

First off welcome to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are alot of really good folks that would just love to help you with anything to do with smoking. Now we like having new folks here to give a new prospective on some of the ways we do things around here. Now if you are really new then I would suggest that you sign up fir the 5-day E-course it free and it will give you the basics on smoking and a few recipes too. Here's a link to it:

then you will have a method to your newly found madness and believe me it will be a madness. Then when you start smoking things you will have to learn how to post the pictures / Qview

Now the next thing you have to do is run out and get something to smoke. Then just smoke it and if you have any questions just post  them here and we will answer all your questions that you might have.
