Ham salad is always nice to have in the rotation!
I have never seen or read the likes of this, so I had to search it. Sure enough there are people thinking this way. And I though I had peculiarities.
My first thought was, the way it makes sense is cracker tops usually have the salt, etc. that has been added, so this side down on your tongue could make sense. That's exactly what this young lady is saying (article below). But talk about "deep thoughts" while eating...she says she actually examines Doritos and places the more seasoned side (assuming there is one, I haven't spent a lot of time examining Doritos!) downward on her tongue. Wow...thats really getting in to your Doritos! (gosh, I haven't had Doritos in years, I cant keep them in the house, way too addictive; talk about late night munchies

Thing is, taste buds arent only on your tongue.
But she lost me when she said Triscuits have no discernible "side". I disagree, they always have a slight bend to them like most crackers and there is a salty side by my recollection, and that's on the "top" or the convex side.
Otherwise I can see putting toppings like ham-tuna-turkey type salads on the cupped side because it would hold those ingredients a little bit better. I would still have to change my brain to do it...crackers need to be presented "good side up" in my brain
