Gas Prices???

Minneapolis to poplar bluff Missouri. Average we saw was about $4.49. Best was $4.09 highest $4.69. Averaged just under 25mpg for the twelve hour trip.6 year of only whined about the last two hours.

I read an article this morning about how gas prices are impacting our local Door Dash drivers. One driver had an example of making $93 one particular Friday, but she spent $86 on gasoline. Another driver who averaged $35/day on gas is now averaging $55/day.

Everything needs energy. Solar cells may power your home, but they won't power a fertilizer plant or give you helium for MRI medical scanners.

A huge source for helium is a natural gas well in Wyoming. They extract it on site. The liquefied natural gas goes to other customers.

An all-electric car is a great commuter car option but I'm not sure I could like them long-term...
I was in the market for a new gas mower and California went and put pollution standards on them doubling the entry price to $800 Honda-class. Bought corded electric and loved it at first...lightweight and quiet, just flip it over to clean it underneath...drove a couple stakes in the yard to help with cord management.
But I miss the engine sounds. This is like vacuuming carpet, not mowing. So price be damned, I'll be going back to gas soon. Each time I mow, I hate the electric approach all the more.
Afraid it might be the same for me with a Tesla or other EV.

$3.79 here, changes almost daily, last week it was 3.69, week before that was almost $4.00

Here in Southern Michigan around town its $4.40 a gallon for regular. In my current gas hog (10.8 mpg) I run Shell Premium, it is currently $5.44 a gallon.

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet, for those who have Shell around them, sign up for the rewards and clip the NASCAR deal and you get .22 cents off a gallon on race day and can get another .10 cents off with a Shell credit card, so .32 cents off a gallon, and the card will also gives you 4% cash back on fuel purchases. I am at Shell most Sunday mornings.

Scored a fill at Costco in the city today for $3.69. The local Kroger is still $4.59.
