Well I tried my first smoked chuck roast. It turned out great. Very tender. Good Smokey taste. Flavorful!!!

I usually do this in a crockpot and sear the meat real good but a guy at work insisted that I smoked it. Thanks David. Coincidentally it’s the same guy that kept on about this sight and Masterbuilt smokers...so I joined SMF and I bought one. Once again. Thanks David. Enough of that. I seasoned my chuck with fresh crushed pepper, the Zap Pak from Little Caesar’s and garlic powder.

Smoked it at 245 until an IT of 145 and then wrapped it. I don’t have a pic but I moved the meat up a rack and added a aluminum tray to catch the drippings that’s in the photo. Smoked it until an IT of 196 and removed it. Added it to that aluminum tray with the onions I had sautéed and mixed up the soup mix with it....love it

You did a great job on the beef, pullin at 196*F perfect. Wish I had a little piece :(
Now I can't BBQ or smoke for a couple of days, snow comin, but you got me in the mood for a nice chuck roast.
Heading to store, getting one for tomorrow.

It was 30 something degrees when I started. I can’t say it was enjoyable stepping out my back door. But.....oh so worth it

Fit fer a king
That’s the best way to smoke a chuck
Now if I can figger how to give ya points for a fine chuck roast.
I bet they want be any left for lunch tomorrow?

Zap pak from Little Ceaser’s? Interesting. I like!
Good job on the roast!
Yes sir. Zap pack is a pizza seasoning with bell pepper powder, garlic, sugar and other stuff that I can’t remember at the moment. Ask for it when you buy a pizza from Little Caesar’s. They will give you a few of them. Can’t go wrong there. It’s free
