Electric Spice Grinders

So since our plans for today have changed due to the balmy weather we are having, I've been doing some reading on electric S&P grinders.
There are 3 basic types...
1. Battery powered. Most seem to run off of AAA batteries. This was the kind I have/had.
2. Rechargeable lithium where each grinder has to be plugged in individually with a USB-C cord. Some sets have bases to set the grinders in, but not charge them.
3. Rechargeable lithium where the grinders sit in a base and the base is plugged in with a USB-C cord. The grinders will recharge when they are placed in the base.
Most descriptions say a charge will last at least a month with normal household use. Some say up to 3 months. The AAA powered ones I was given were still going strong with the original batteries a month later.
Reviews are all over the place, but looking at a bunch of them on Amazon, many look to be the same, just a different name and the reviews are different. Even the name brand ones such as ThermoPro look identical to others with different names. Probably all made in a couple of different factories in China.
Some other differences is capacity with most holding about 50ml-70ml of salt or pepper. 100ml-110ml on the high side. All seem to have a light.
Prices are from around $20 up to $100 for a set with most in the $35-$40 range.
I haven't locked in on one in particular, but I think I do like having a charging base so I don't have to plug each one in separately to charge. Still looking, but I've gone crossed-eyed for now...

Thanks, I found those, but the price really threw me off. They've really come down in price unless they pay that much more in Canada...

I've been shopping for grinders, but not necessarily electric.
I see no need for a salt grinder. It is a mineral and the flavor is the same fresh ground or from the shaker.
I keep 3 grinders for black, medley, and white pepper

What is the grinder material? I didn't see it specified. I'm looking for steel or ceramic.
I see the manual set specify ceramic, but not in stock.
Since one of the original set still works, I'll load it with the black and the new set, whenever I decide which to get, will be the pink salt and medley pepper. I have 10 lbs. of the coarse pink salt so I've got to do something with it...

Dunno. Can't really see in there. I do know that most hand grinders of the cheaper variety use metal burr (can't see how a plastic one would do anything) BUT the primary problem with those is although the long 'rod' that extends from the handle (that you rotate) to the grinder part is metal, it fits in a plastic bushing and that gets worn down so much (rectangular rod through a square hole in a plastic bushing) that the square hole gets rounded off and is......useless.
The grinder part ('burr' for lack of a specific term) on these two is inside and can't be accessed nor seen.
Maybe find them online and email the mfg directly and ask.

While we’re on the topic of spice grinders, my dearly beloved gifted me a HexClad pepper grinder last year. Couldn’t justify the Cannon.
I’m a self-admitted bit of a pepperholic. It’s a beast! Easy to fill without spillage and a great grind!

In my research, I saw those and only $40 more dollars for the cannon. But I was primarily focused on the electric ones...
There is a good use for your coffee grinder
Not electric, but I just bought this and the matching salt grinder. The salt grinder uses a plastic grinding mechanism, they say because of corrosion issues, and the pepper uses a steel bur grinding mechanism. They work great, and I like the fact that they are hand made, not pumped out of a CNC mill.
I have thought about electric ones for quite a while.
The thing is the Costco manual ones are so easy to use and control I haven't found a need to switch. I see they do have the Hexclad electric set on sale for $159.

I have an Inkbird rechargeable spice grinders that's worked quite well for over a year now. And it was reasonably priced. I'll try to look it up and share when I get a minute.
OK, after looking at a gadzillion different electric S&P grinder sets, I've ordered this one...
Reviews are as good as any with more than 1200 reviews at a 4.8 average and it's cheap enough. Larger capacity and rechargeable, but not through the base. Supposed to arrive Saturday, but the latest winter storm may delay that, we'll see. Only time will tell if I've wasted my money...
