Thanks for the welcome. It's starting to come together.I should have fire box welded up this week.My welders getting married in 2 weeks,so the pressures on.If it doesn't happen this week ,I don't know if he'll get a Kitchen pass to help me!
Today , started insulating the 1975 hotpoint freezer.I am using a product from MAS CALLED MAS-TER MAT 1200. It is used for heat insulation.The insulation has been laying around our shop for years.It has a 1200 degree temperature rating and was used to wrap boiler flue pipe.
Finished 2nd coat of high heat black.My chimney is roughed in,still have to install damper and cap.I hope to have time to replace the old interior plastic trim with stainless this weekend.
It looks like you, Josh and I are all working together on our builds. I am intested in how the outside firebox works out. Looks good! ...keep us up to date!
Finishing up odds and ends on freezer.I used Kaowool as my door gasket.The seal is great , I just hope it holds up. My goal is too get her seasoned by the weekend.
