Yep it's finally here! I just got done picking 5 of them
For our dinner tonight. We will be having Crab Louie salad. Yum!

No pictures of the real Crabs, sorry! Here's the almost complete horseshoe crabs I welded up. I had them sand blasted and then I pickled them in vinegar for a day. Sprayed them down with hydrogen peroxide and watched the magic! On bare metal you can skip the hydrogen peroxide, if it's damp out. The vinegar alone will make the metal rust overnight.

Next step will be to coat in Penetrol, then a coat or two of Varathane over that. Nobody likes rust bleeders on their furniture.

Smoke away!!!

You need to set up a roadside stand and start selling!

You got my attention - man-o-man I love those dungies. Born and raised on em North of Seattle.

Good eats!

One of the only things I really miss about living at the coast, fresh Dungies! Always had a crab pot soaking.

Smoke away!!!

We should be getting some dungies soon....

Yeah you should. It's all opened up.

Rumor has it the price is going to be even cheaper in the markets to make up for the late opener. Most of the domestic sale occurs just before the holiday season.

Smoke away!!!

I like the modernist sculpture, great garden feature . I have a few things in that style.

I ate Dungess on Vancouver Island ,great product.

Love the salad.

Thanks Mick! Messing in the shop keeps me sane! Welding is not my preferred hobby, but with limited space right now it keeps me happy.

Yeah Dungeness crab are great. We'll be eating our share this winter!

Really cheap relatively even with our crap currency.

If you are inclined google sculpture by the sea Sydney. That style of work out of re purposed steel always represented.

Not Fair ... So not fair. We're still singing the domoic acid blues down here in CA. Heartbreaking to say the least. Another good reason to move to OR i guess.
