I was board last evening so thought I would put out another video. I have not done buffalo wings in a while and wanted to try something new. Instead of apply the sauce on the outside I injected the wings with a mixture of Frank's red Hot 50%, melted Butter 50% and some brown sugar.
On the outside I misted the wings with apple juice and applied some of Myron Mixons "Jack's old South" original rub. I cooked them low and slow 230 dgrees until they reached 180 degrees. And I have to say, Myrons rubs are really good. I bought the Hickory and the original. They will be stocked in my pantry from now on.
I was blown away! Som was my son... The skin was crispy and when you bit into the meat it was bursting with flavor. Damn messy too! This is how I do buffalo wings from now. This was a fun and easy smoke.
