BJ's general thoughts?

howdy,
BJ's jus sent out their annual join for $20 mailer. I know it's a you either like it or not...
I did check and saw they have express check out like Sam's. hours ae better than Sam's which doesn't open here until 10AM. I 86'd Costco when they auto renewed me and they didn't have express check out. i don't do lines.....
I guess I'm going to have to stroll through.

I've had BJ's for almost a year. There are a hand full of things we buy there but do most of our warehouse shopping at Sam's. If their membership wasn't so cheap I would not renew.

Do a walk thru first and then pony up the $20 for a year and see if you use it. What's $20 for a test? Neighbor's say they save that much at the gas pump.
Wife and I did a walk thru about a year ago and didn't see anything to even justify the $20 first year as we only get to access them for 6 months. None up in our summer area.
Need to do a walk thru again just to see.
We gave up Sam's as Costco is better for us in both locations and the Business Center here in Orlando really seals the deal.

Nope , no matter how you word it, with BJ in the title you are going to get lookers and comments, lol

And for me being across the northern boarder, Never heard of a store called BJ's. So of coarse I had to click and look.

We've had a BJs membership for years now. We really don't shop there but we have their credit card and get our gas there and we use it for every purchase we make so every couple of months we accumulate more than enough points to get bulk necessities without spending any money. And every few years when it's time to get tires it eases the pain. $20 is worth it especially with the credit card.

We tried the introductory $20 deal as well to compare with Costco. Didn't see any advantages over Costco and a few disadvantages (smaller, no food court). Just didn't see a reason to make the change other than it is a bit closer and more convenient.

The first location in Ga is under construction. About 2 hrs away but following along for thoughts. It will be in the same area as Buc-ees so I know I'll be in the area occasionally

BJ's, never heard of it. But at $20 I'd give it a try.
