Leaving for Largo Med Center in a few minutes.

Judy's got to be there at 6:30 AM Mon. for her new knee.

So were going over now & staying in a hotel tonight.

We should be back home Monday night.

I'm taking my ipad, so if I get a chance I'll get on here.

If not, see you all Tuesday.

Al

Were back & Judy has a new knee!

She's doing real well.

Especially since nurse Al is on duty 24/7.

Thanks for all your well wishes & prayers!

A couple of weeks & she'll be right back at it!

Al

Honestly, best of luck to you both! b

Will have Judy and you in our prayers. If Judy's knee goes as well as both of my hips, she's got it made. Best of luck and stay safe. Joe

You being away? No biggie, but Judy has our Prayers as she has a long road ahead. Hope for a speedy recovery for your Lady...JJ

Prayers go with you.

Having had both a hip and a knee replacement, and my wife having had both knees replaced, we can assure you that life post replacement will be much better than it was before.

Tell her that ICE is the best pain control along with the pain meds, of course. Buy her several bags of frozen peas. That way you can keep them in the freezer getting ready for when the one in use warms up.

Let us know how she gets on.

She has plenty of pain meds, and I have several of those frozen gel packs. She also has a tube with a pump on it pumping something right into her knee to numb it. I think that will last about 2 days, then we take it out. She has been walking around the house all morning with her walker. It's just unbelievable to me that you can get a new knee in the morning & be back home for dinner the same day, and walking around on it right away. If we didn't have a 2 hour+ drive each way it would have been a piece of cake.

Glad all went well. I had no idea it was an Outpatient procedure. I have two bad knees and was not looking forward to the recovery...JJ

Good to hear Al...It's amazing what they can do these days!  That kind of procedure sounds like it ought to be a multiple-day stay in the hospital!  Give our best to Miss Judy...And be sure to cook her up something special!
