Anyone ever add cheese to deer jerky

Wanted to know if anyone tried added any type cheese to their jerky mixture before drying. I use a dehydrator. I am asking because I didn't want to waste a batch of meat if its known not to work.

You could probably di it with fground jerky just mic it before you put it in your tube but yes hightemp jerky would be required

I personally just smoke a block of cheese and eat it with the jerky much better!

Cooking is an experiment. Make several test batches with notes about what is in it.
I always eat my mistakes. It hides the evidence... :rolleyes:
 
I have a jerky recipes book and they have jerky recipes using cheese powder. Nacho jerky is what I think the recipe is called.

Looks interesting. But I'm not sure I have ever seen it at the grocery stores I go to. I know I can purchase it on amazon.
