My wife watches lots of competition cooking shows on TV. I just don’t understand them. I mean, when are you ever in a situation where you have 30 minutes to come up with a dish using gummy bears, squash and buzzard breast? YouTube is my preferred choice:

all things BBQ - Chef Tom (culinary institute trained chef)
Kamado Joe - Chef Eric (same as above, not just for KJ)
Sam the Cooking Guy (not classically trained, but fun)
How to BBQ Right - Malcom Reed (same as above)

Having said that, my wife is a MUCH better cook than I.

I used to have quite a few BBQ channels in my YouTube subscriber lineup. One by one they were dropped for a variety of reasons. Many parrotted inaccurate, untested info (1 hour on counter to reach room, which is impossible), or showed poor technique that made good video (like white smoke). They often made simple processes WAAAY more complicated than they needed to be, and encouraged a dependence on technology that would result in inconsistent results because no two similar meat cuts come from the same animal. Meat temp is a guide, not a destination. And anyone who indicates their method and temps will always result in perfection gets the ax in my channel lineup. There's no substitute for feel and experience.

Below are my current YouTube cooking channels, which are basic cooking, baking, and bread:

America's Test Kitchen (aka Cook's Country)
Bake with Jack (Bread)
Brian Lagerstrom
Buon-A-Petitti (Italian)
ChainBaker (Bread)
Chef Jean-Pierre
Cowboy Kent Rollins (Dutch oven only for me)
Food Wishes
Glen and Friends Cooking
John Kirkwood (baking)
Joshua Weissman
Novita Listyani (Bread science)
Pasta Grammar
Tasty
The Bread Code (weakest of my bread channels)
Townsend (historical)

I am still watching Chef Jean-Pierre. I really enjoy his video's. He is quite the character. Very entertaining. I need to start trying to dig up some Justin Wilson video's.
Just saw an episode of Justin Wilson today on RFD TV, I really enjoyed it... 1st time seeing him.
