I wasnt planning on posting this, but it was very good.

Have a leg quarter and a thigh seasoned with a dry jerk seasoning.

Got the vortex loaded with a mix.   Some leftover briqs, some Humphreys lump and some RO lump.   Just cleaning up some empty bags.

Chicken and beans cooking.

Bout half way done.

Nice cooking temp and TBS.

And my plate.

Skin was OK but wasnt what I can make on my other cooker.

Used a bit to much Jerk, sweating while eating.

 this helped thou

Overall,   very tasty meal.

Looks good to me, would like a plate of that right now ....

Looks tasty,I'll take Cajun over jerk please. If I had to guess the large chunks of lump are from the RO I had a few chunks that didn't fit my chimney.

Nice cook!  Some of my favorite meals come when just throwing stuff on the grill.

Thanks, yup anything grilled has to be good.

That was a nice simple meal! I really do need to get one of them Vortex's.
I have been experimenting cooking at higher temps with chicken - 325 skin side down and it's been turning out pretty good.

The vortex is a great addition.

Point to you sir! But you can never have enough jerk and I'm pretty sure you're supposed to sweat while you eat it.

Looks awesome. You make your own jerk or is it commercial? I have a great jerk marinade that I use (commercial), but no dry rub.

Hope your dinner was as good as it looks!!!

Thank you.   Maybe that why I always sweat when I use this.
