So wife fixed dinner which she does most nights. She refers to my posts as food p♡rn, so she says post this. So I shall . Lasagna with deer burger and sausage. Details after that are sketchy as she kicked me out of the kitchen. Results was great a great tasting supper. She also pointed out that the kitchen still resembles a kitchen. She said something referring to a bomb exploding in the kitchen when I cook. I really dont know what she means. Thanks for looking and hats off to the great wives of this forum who put up with us.

I feel for you. My wife always complains when I am in "her kitchen" and she thinks I make a mess. I guess it is a man thing.

I let her believe it's our kitchen, but it's mine. I cook/smoke/grill/roast the vast majority of our meals.

I'm a "clean as I cook" guy. We have a dishwasher, but I always fill the sink with hot soapy water BEFORE I start cooking. I HATE cooking in a kitchen with dirty dishes in the sink.

She's a "cook and clean later" person. I stay away when she's cooking or baking anything. And for the life of me, she can't grasp the concept of using enough fat to keep foods from sticking. She uses such a minimal amount of butter or oil that half of what she cooks sticks to the pan, becoming a PITA to clean.

Ah, I feel better.

I didn't want to go there, but ...
I cook and clean and put away.
Wife cooks, sometimes cleans and sometimes puts away.
Yet, I'm the one that clutters the kitchen

Lasagna looks great! As far as her comments on the kitchen, that's why I'm only allowed to cook outside... :emoji_laughing:

looks good, lasagna is up there on my favorite foods list. I must be lucky my wife never complains about me in the (her) kitchen, but I do clean up after myself. i guess she figures if i'm in the kitchen she doesn't have to cook.

Funny, I always complain when she's in MY kitchen.
Ha ha!! That's the way it is around here. Used to really bother me when I'd go into MY kitchen to make sausage or something and she has fabric laid out all over the island cutting it for her craft projects. After numerous times of me not having MY kitchen available, we gutted out the office, re-arranged half of the house, ordered a bunch of high-end crafting stuff (including a couple of large tables) and made her a designated craft room out of the office. Never again will I lose MY beloved island to a crafting project. Problem solved: she has all the space she needs and I have full access to MY kitchen.

The way it should be :emoji_laughing:

I tend do clean up as I go with all things cooking related but especially when making sausage. Can't stand working in a messy environment, but I'm a neat freak. As a general rule, I cook (and clean up my stuff as I go) and Tracy usually does the after-meal dishes. Of course I'll typically jump in and help, but that's the unwritten rule. She doesn't cook, doesn't try to cook, and has no desire whatsoever to bastardize MY kitchen. I'm good with that :emoji_astonished:

I got my "Breading Machine" nearly 51 years ago, and it doubles as a Dishwasher too.
Damn Bear, you must have bought Maytag appliances if they lasted that long :emoji_astonished: I can see those repairmen sitting around diddling their...whatevers, waiting for your appliances to go out to lunch so they cam come fix them.

There's visual I didn't need,

phathead69 phathead69 sorry, thought I gave a sympathy like, but missed it.
Enjoyed your post, especially the "food porn" and "bomb exploding" comments from your wife.

LOL---You guys must have some of those new Modern Appliances!!

Wife and I are vacationing in the Florida panhandle and staying in a timeshare unit. This morning, I mentioned if she caught housekeeping to get another bottle of dish soap.
Her, "Why aren't you using the dishwasher?"
Me, "I don't think of it being we don't have one at home."
Her, "I didn't think of it either until this morning."

LOL---She only uses the Auto DW a few times a year, if we have guests for a big dinner.
Normally she washes the few dirty dishes twice a day---5 minutes each.
